The location is perfect - an oasis of peace and tranquility in the heart of Chiang Mai! The architectural style of the hotel is outstanding, typically 'Thai' - just beautiful. We were here 10yrs ago and upon arrival this time we received a card welcoming us back, how very sweet and thoughtful! Each room is different, some a little larger than others and some with a balcony. The beds are comfortable (I have stayed in four different rooms now), the showers are very good and great air conditioning. The breakfast is the best we have ever encountered with fresh fruits, cereal, yoghurt, dried fruits, toast and pastries, continental foods and hot breakfast items freshly prepared in front of you. The hotel Spa is amazing, so clean and expertly organised. I went for the 'Signature' massage and it was Bliss! My thanks to the great skills of NOM who helped to erase my back issues. The hotel provided special touches like fresh fruit in your room daily, when turning your bed down for the night a card was left which gave a wonderful story about 'Lanna' people, a citronella candle to help against mosquitos etc. and there is live, tasteful music in the restaurant most nights. The whole team of staff are so friendly and helpful, especially THIARA, head of reception, he is outstanding. In fact by the end of our 17 days I felt that we were part of a family and we were sad to leave! Should you be fortunate enough to be there for Xmas and New Year as we were then I can highly recommend the Gala Dinners. We thought they were a little expensive (compared to usual prices in Thailand) however we were impressed by the quality, effort and thought that went into the evenings. Lanterns adorned the grounds and the pool, tables presented beautifully, we had the most beautiful live music with singers, violinist and guitar, and an incredible buffet with a huge choice of wonderful food.

Exceptional place, very charming and beautiful!

The hotel is an architectural gem, such a beautiful sanctuary in the heart of the old city. There’s a magic to the place that starts on the street from the bamboo walkway. A very special feeling. The staff were excellent and the food, particularly breakfast really, really good.

This is all down to preference, whilst beautiful, I found our room too dark. If we’d opted for a balcony room that would’ve helped, so would do that next time. We needed an extra bed, so fitting that in did impede the windows, so we couldn’t really open for more light during the day.

This is a very special hotel. Very authentic to the area and culture. Location is within the walled city and centrally located to markets, food vendors, etc. Easy ride from airport. Staff was amazing and breakfast buffet by the pool was lovely. Truly hated to leave.

Beautiful boutique hotel, intimate at 40 odd rooms in lana style with beautiful grounds, decor, and layout. Staff wonderful and location in old town convenient to many sights.

Location is perfect for exploring Old Town Chiang Mai. The hotel is a peaceful sanctuary right in the middle of town. Amazingly quiet given its location! The boutique shop had wonderful goods, some of the nicest I found in Chiang Mai. Staff were professional, helpful, attentive, and very friendly. Breakfast was included and delicious. The grounds and facilities are very beautiful with a very special aesthetic, almost like a monastery.

I wish there had been a lounge/sitting area that wasn’t the reception area or right next to the pool. It would have been nice to enjoy the peaceful setting in a garden (rather than right next to the pool). The bed was VERY firm for me.

This is a small 40 room hotel with low rise two storey buildings built around courtyards; it has a very nice feel. Staff are excellent. There is a nice restaurant serving good food which we preferred to all but one of the restaurants outside the hotel. We stayed in the Spa Suite (6201) which is spacious with a bath and outside shower. It has its own patio area with lounging chairs. No traffic noise.

An annoying dog would bark at night! Not really down to the hotel!

Lovely boutique hotel done in a traditional style. Location was so central. But best thing is the staff, so friendly and helpful.

Hotel style (feels like a big colonial house), rooms are stylish and authentic (although not huge). Really clean throughout, and lots of nice touches. Truly excellent staff, nothing was too much trouble.

Only slight thing is that I didn’t find the bed very comfortable.

Swimming pool quality could be improved. Standard Rooms don’t have windows and description online is rather misleading as “balcony” is actually part of the common corridor

An oriental boutique hotel, the rooms are decorated in Thai style, clean and always with a good smell, the employees are always smiling and do everything to make you satisfied.

We would have expected the hotel's shuttle services to the airport and the city, apart from that... perfect!

Sometimes hard to get a staff members attention when lying by the pool and wanting a drink maybe. A small thing - otherwise everything was perfect.

The trips you can book with the company are arranged excellent comparing them with local agencies they seem a little high priced

Super nice hotel in Lanna-style, well located with all facilities one might need on vacation. Big comfortable rooms, nice swimming pool, good breakfast with a lot of choices. Super friendly & helpful staff.

We enjoyed all aspects of the property. However some of the brick pathways were slippery

Beautiful hotel in the heart of Chiang Mai old town. Absolute quiet and peaceful. The staff was amazing. The restaurant served really good breakfast and the a La carte for lunch/dinner had a big selection of dishes to choose from.

Pool water quite hot as the pool is not a chilled one.
